Additionally, Senator are able to assist with numerous drug related anti-social behaviour issues at Health Centres, GP Practices and Clinics. It is sad fact that drug users and ‘dealers’ often operate in the close vicinity of medical practices and pharmacies for a number of reasons including access to legally prescribed drugs to potentially trade, and because they feel safer being close to what they perceive as medical help if things go wrong. Senator provided a high profile security presence to prevent/deter situations occurring; Senator work extremely closely with the centre staff and local Police to provide a safe and secure environment for the public and staff.

The NHS and related Healthcare Services are centres for healing, compassion and caring. Patient care and their experience of the NHS is evermore under scrutiny and all involved strive to provide a safe and secure environment for the individuals receiving treatment along with those who accompany and visit these facilities. Then we must take into account the ever-present criminal element that opportunistically and, often unpredictably, take every advantage of any situation.
